4 September 2011 - Daegu, Korea – It took until the final event, it took until Usain Bolt’s final run, but finally a World record was set in the Daegu 2011 World Championships as Jamaica extended its dominance of the men’s 4x100 metres relay.

4 September 2011 - Daegu, Korea - Tatyana Lysenko led from the front to cause an upset and defeat World record holder Betty Heidler in a high class final which witnessed three women throw beyond 75m for the first time in World Championships history.

Women's 4x100m Relay - Heats - World leads for Jamaica, then U.S., as big guns rest
4 September 2011 – Daegu, Korea - After successive failures to carry the baton round safely round in a global championship, the United States sprint relay team knew they had to put safety first in the third of the opening heats. They succeeded – but also managed to register the world’s fastest time of the season, 41.94, surpassing the mark of 42.23 set by the Jamaican quartet which won the opening heat.
